Currently based in Copenhagen, danish architect and visual artist Tina Louise Hunderup works in a crossfield between architecture and fine art. A focus on spacial elements and multiple layers, inspired by temporary architectural constructions, and abondened industrial buildings in decay, characterize her works.
In her praxis objects and elements with pure functional qualities are processed and transformed to motifs of aesthetic value, producing new identities and meanings. Here geometrical structures are drifting in what seems as isolated and undifined spaces. Suspended in mid air, released from the natural law of gravity these works of multiple surfaces transform themselves into graphical and yet poetic and fragile constellations which however only appear to exist in this very moment of perception. They are ´glimpses´ of assemblages - like memories of impressions and events always at the point of decomposition - registered on the canvases in strict colour schemes, shapes and lines.
Working with cross-disciplinary skills such as photography, digital drawing, painting and sculpturing, Tina Louise thus explores the quality in letting the different media interact in a ´visual blend´of fragmentation and dynamical forms.
